Greetings from Siena!
Our high season is over, but please remember that our agriturismo is open all year.
Last month we did the olive harvest for our new bio oil. Would you like to join us in our olive grove and go with us to the oil mill to taste the freshly made oil? Matter of fact, two of our current guests, along with some friends of theirs, helped us out this year! We will welcome you in our “agriturismo” with a tasting of our new bio oil with a fresh slice of bread!
As you know, Siena is well worth a stay during the fall. Granted, the unique marble floor in the Cathedral has just been covered again for the winter (remember: you can admire it every year, from September through October), and, alas, other typical events of the early fall, such as the “Sagra del Tordo” in Montalcino, “Sagra della Val d’Arbia” in Buonconvento, and “Chianti d’Autunno” in Castellina in Chianti have gone by. But wait before letting desperation set in, for a bunch of other great things are coming up:
- Piazza del Campo will host its traditional fair of Tuscan art craft and gastronomy in the first week-end of December; but also on 2nd and 3rd of April 2016.

- On 13th December, the fair of Santa Lucia will feature our traditional ceramic bells of the 17 contrade, as well as lots and lots of Tuscan candy;
- The Accademia Musicale Chigiana, with the model of culture and of valuing and promoting music that it has represented for a century or so, has just opened its new season of chamber music;
- The Civic Museum, at Town Hall, is now opening its gates at night; on the occasion you can not only admire artworks that are perhaps less known, but you can also indulge in wine tasting and listen to concerts of classical music.
Needless to say, should you need any additional information on these or other related events please do no hesitate to contact me!
